Project Lead responsible to support southern region insurance agency operations

Roles / Responsibilities

• Project Lead involved in project planning and delivery of large-scale, strategic projects
• Responsible for deployment activities realated to scheduled releases and hotfixes
• Responsible for TFS activities including code reviews, Work Items and Sprints
• Responsible to coordinate efforts to improve reliability by reducing defects and inefficiencies in core insurance systems used in both internal and consumer channels
• Liaison in charge to assist the Insurance Agency Department in the execution of their functions by enhancing supporting systems and procedures
• Liaison in charge to assist the Quality Assurance department in the execution of their functions by enhancing supporting systems and procedures
• Applications Architect in charge of enhancing usability in consumer facing quoting and purchasing applications

Support NR and SR integration efforts in rollout of POC+ (Point of Contact - internal CRM platform)

Roles / Responsibilities

Luis was involved in three strategic projects with the Northern Region in 2014:

For POC+ Luis did a great job with his efforts on the rollout to the 7 states. He worked on the modifications to our Insurance Systems that were needed for integration to the Sales & Service Portal (S&S), northern region insurance platform. Additionally he built web service interfaces that were used between S&S and POC+ that would synchronize customer information.

Luis also played a major role in the Common Auto Quoter (CAQ) effort that consolidated Auto Insurance Quoting to a common platform in 11 states. In addition to executing his team lead duties on this effort, he was also responsible for the development and delivery of key components of the project. He was able to meaningfully contribute to all aspects of the project and was instrumental in the successful delivery of the project.

Luis again played an important role in the 6-State Auto Project. Toward the end of the year we experienced some attrition which resulted in additional workload being placed on Luis. He faced the challenge with a can do attitude and stepped up his efforts to get the job done.
